Jack Burbridge, Director of Broadband Strategic Initiatives

Jack Burbridge has extensive knowledge in managing, leading, and supporting IT-related infrastructure projects and initiatives for DC government owned and operated fiber network. He has over 20 years working in telecommunications, with a strong knowledge of fiber optic, IP-converged networking, Wi-Fi, LTE, and other wired and wireless network technologies. Additionally, he has experience leading public safety communications network planning and project and grant management for FirstNet-related efforts for DC government as well as the development of smart city initiatives in the District of Columbia. Skilled in strategic analysis, broadband policy, and telecom, Jack has worked broadly with infrastructure agreements, service development, and procurement processes and proposals to meet organizational goals.

Jack maintains an expansive understanding of successfully leading technical publications teams, planning scope, allocating resources, and setting schedules for concurrent documentation projects. In larger scale projects, Jack is a highly effective collaborator with technical experts in communicating complex technologies and concepts to external audiences. His strong oral communications, interpersonal, project management, presentation, and team leadership skills are supplemented by his immense expertise identifying areas of business process improvement and implementing process change.
